PRIVACY POLICY

Runline Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Runline SpA collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Runline mobile app, website, beta program, and related services.

If you do not agree with this policy, do not use Runline. For questions or privacy requests, contact us at contact@runlineapp.com.

1. Information we collect

Account information, such as your email address, username, and profile details. Runline does not ask for legal names, government IDs, driver license numbers, tax IDs, KYC checks, or identity verification documents.

Garage information, such as vehicle make, model, year, drivetrain, estimated horsepower, weight, modifications, category, and optional vehicle photos.

Run and Line information, such as GPS location data, route coordinates, sector splits, run times, speed, timestamps, leaderboard entries, and route metadata.

Device and app information, such as operating system, app version, crash reports, diagnostics, and notification tokens if you enable push notifications.

Waitlist and website information, such as email, reserved username, referral information, approximate city if you provide it, and basic request metadata.

2. No KYC or legal identity verification

Runline is not a KYC service and does not require users to prove their civil or legal identity. We do not collect government-issued identity documents, driver license records, plate ownership records, or legal-name verification.

Because Runline does not request those identity materials, we generally cannot identify a user beyond the limited account, device, location, Garage, Run, and public profile information stored in the service or provided by the user.

If we receive a valid legal request, we will review it and respond as required by applicable law. However, we can only provide information we actually have. We cannot provide identity records that we do not collect.

3. How we use information

To create and manage your Runline account, Garage, Lines, Runs, leaderboards, and app features.

To calculate route timing, sector results, vehicle categories, rankings, and shareable result cards.

To improve app reliability, prevent abuse, diagnose bugs, respond to feedback, and operate the beta.

To send product updates, beta access messages, notifications you request, and important service notices.

4. Location data

Runline uses GPS location data to detect start and finish crossings, calculate Runs, create route traces, and show timing results. Location data may be stored with a Run or Line so the feature can work later, including leaderboards and share cards.

Background location. Runline collects precise location in the background — that is, while the app is not on screen or the device is locked — only while a Run is active. This is required for the core function of the app: a Run must keep timing and must detect the finish crossing even if you put the phone down, the screen turns off, or another app comes to the foreground. Background collection stops when the Run finishes or is cancelled. Runline does not track your location when no Run is active, and does not use background location for advertising or profiling.

You can control location permissions through your device settings. Some Runline features will not work without location access.

5. Photos and media

If you choose to upload a vehicle photo or save/share a result image, Runline may access your photo library only with your permission. Vehicle photos are optional. Before uploading, avoid including sensitive details such as license plates or private locations.

6. Sharing and public content

Some content may be visible to other users, including public Lines, leaderboard entries, usernames, vehicle snapshots, times, rankings, and shared result cards. Run snapshots may preserve car and route information as it existed at the time of the Run.

7. Service providers

We may use third-party services to host the app and website, store data, send email, deliver notifications, process geocoding, fetch weather data, and run analytics or diagnostics. These providers process information on our behalf according to their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Runline, maintain records, improve safety and reliability, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. You may request deletion of your account or personal data by contacting us.

9. Safety and legal use

Runline is a personal GPS timing tool for driving enthusiasts. It does not promote speeding, street racing, reckless driving, or illegal activity. Always follow traffic laws, road rules, and local safety requirements.

10. Your choices

You can update profile and Garage information in the app, control permissions in your device settings, unsubscribe from non-essential emails, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information.

Delete your account from inside the app. Open the Garage and tap “Eliminar cuenta” (Delete account). This permanently deletes your account and the data attached to it — profile, vehicles, and Runs — and cannot be undone. Lines you created remain available to the community without your identity attached. You do not need to email us to delete your account.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Runline evolves. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users through the app, website, or email.
